WHAT IS ReALIGN©

ReAlign is a form of strength, fitness and flexibility training, consisting and combining a variety of different body movement disciplines such as yoga, pilates, calisthenics, barre, gymnastics, breathwork and massage while taking its foundational knowledge from the  study of the new sciences (biomechanics) Biomechanics is the science of movement of a living body, including how muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments work together to produce movement. ...  

ReAlign benefits muscular and aerobic conditioning, in addition to improving concentration and psychomotor skills such as balance, agility, and coordination. Expect to sweat and use equipment such as hand weights, therabands, chairs, sliders, yoga wheels plus more. We are a fully equipped studio so you do not need to own any of these items.  We recommend you bring a yoga mat (we do have some mats to borrow) a towel and water and wear comfortable flexible clothing.
Do not be surprised to end the class with meditation, breath and relaxation techniques.

CLASSES DESCRIPTION

​ReAlign BASICS
These classes are designed for brand new beginners wanting to learn the basics of a ReAlign class. No fitness level, age limit or flexibility required, these classes are designed for those that want to learn the foundational structure of the movement and poses to develop strength, flexibility and agility, you will also learn basic breathing techniques, plus classes will always end with yoga nidra (a guided meditation technique). Come join us we look forward to meeting you.
ReALIGN 
This blended class provides a intelligent multi-level experience for intermediate level students. You will be taken to your edge in a clear focused way. We will work to strengthen the whole body by moving each individual muscle through its full range motion through deep core muscle work. Physiology explains how cells of the body degenerate when a muscle only uses apart of it´s length. In this class we will move each individual muscle from it´s most contracted position to it´s resting point so we work to rejuvenate every cell inner being, resulting in more energy all round. This class is for those that want to work hard to achieve inner balance and peace.
VINYASA
Is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath.  Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga. Expect to do breathwork known as pranayama and meditation. This is a great combination of movement and mindfulness.
PILATES/BARRE
Introduces signature moves that are informed by ballet conditioning and dance movements. A mix of isometric, eccentric and concentric contractions, where we hold, or pulse the body in challenging poses such as Plank, single-leg balances, and during core work, these are ideal functional moves for both men and women alike, at every age. These exercises improve balance, our sense of mind to muscle connection, proprioception (understanding where the body is in space) and coordination - skills and strengths that enable strong, lean, healthy dancer like bodies at every age, for life. “What is most important to me is that the students discover a quality of elegance in their posture and a grace not only on the mat but in their daily movements, plus this is therapy for healthy joints and a strong flexible spine”. Amanda Dee
HATHA  
I
s the branch of yoga that typically comes to mind when you think of yoga in general terms. The practice involves breath, static poses, and mindfulness. This type of class is great for beginners as it moves slow Expect to practice breathing techniques (known as pranayama), yoga poses, and meditation.
EASY YOGA
Is a gentle form of yoga that can be done while sitting. Some poses can also be done standing using a chair for support. ... Chair yoga can improve your flexibility, concentration and strength, while boosting your mood, and reducing stress and joint strain. This is a great class for those with limited range of motion, who may find it hard to sit on the floor, it is great for the elderly, those with back problems and other injuries.

What to bring and wear:

It is always nice to eventually have your own mat, but we do have all props and mats for you to use at the studio. Wear lose comfortable clothing like you would wear to a gym. We have spring water for sale and complementary tea at the studio. Makes sure you are hydrated before taking any class, and drink plenty of water after to detox the body from toxins. Also it is recommended not to eat 1 hour before class starts.
